    Who: Grand harbour
Where: Verdala School Main Hall roof
Comments: A wonderful new perspective of Grand Harbour from the roof of the main building at Verdala school. One which we, as pupils, never saw until we revisited the school in 2014

Well SOME of the kids had been up there David! If you go to the 1950s gallery and scroll down to the 51st picture (well, 51st until someone adds some more!) you'll see that Miss Kernahan took her class up there to welcome the new governor arriving by ship! (But there's no indication on her photo that the protective wall round the edge of the roof is only about six inches high!!)

Well Liz, If I wasn't so happy with my teacher Miss Butters, I only wish I had been in Miss Kernahan's class, she was a woman after my own heart obviously. Then I could have seen this splendid view 58 years earlier!
