Alastair Newman makes the first address at the first Reunion held at Wiston House in Steyning in 2002. The Babe is Christiane Morris.Christiane organised the whole Reunion and very much deserves all the credit for arranging a tremendously enjoyable evening in a stunning location.

How sad to learn of Rex's death. Many of his former pupils have mentioned him in on this site and obviously remember him with affection. More reserved than many of the others but I have happy memories of him in the staff room.

What sad news. I e-mailed John shortly after I discovered this site but didn't manage to chat to him. I have very fond memories of him and Dorothy, at parties in our flat and swimming off the rocks. And of course playing the piano for those great musicals - The Magic Nutcracker in particular. My parents kept in touch for years, now both dead. He sent great round robins in his Xmas cards. He was a larger than life person, a man you never forget and had a huge influence on young people. A sad loss. I will light a candle for him at Mass tomorrow and pray for him and Dorothy and their children. Rest in Peace John
