We had a visit from Miss M the other evening, most enjoyable. Found out that there were 1200 kids there with a 40% churn rate!!

Before anybody says anything clever, NO, I have not been in nick! If I had been, I would have had access to a computer.

I've been thinking about setting up a group on Facebook for the children of the military and wondered if you had any plans to do something of the sort

No Liz , unfortunately I didn't know her, but obviously the infants at Verdala were lucky to have been served by such a very special person.

Yes, amazing couple aren't they David! I don't suppose you remember Vera North if you weren't an infant at Verdala?!

'Vera' is Vera North - former head of Verdala Infants in late 50s early 60s and now 96! Lovely to hear her. Could be on 'Listen Again'?
Liz Mardel Sun, 02 Aug 2015 14:05 GMT +0
Just happened to hear on Radio 4's 'Listening Project' - 'Vera and Betty from Hay-on-Wye' talking about their charity for local young people....... .
